Readers Praise Garrett’s Books
Kirkus Review on Jehoshua: Signs and Wonders
Many authors make him too human, like Nikos Kazantsakis and Norman Mailer, or too divine, like Anne Rice. By dramatizing Christianity’s birth through the followers of Jesus, Glass shows a vibrant community, sometimes at odds with itself, sometimes coming together in the face of opposition.
Cynthia on Who Cut God’s Hair
This is a rare book that speaks to believers and non-believers alike. Whether or not you agree with the author’s conclusions, you will likely come away with a clearer understanding of our own views on the subject and much material for spirited conversation.
Emerson on Who Cut God’s Hair
This book is a must-read for all sentient people…it helps peel back the blindfold gently, compassionately, inclusively, without stigmatizing “believers” or “non-believers.”
Amazon Buyer on Conflagration
This is a really good book. Even better than the first one that gives the beginning of the story. This volume describes how the world actually did end, as predicted, for Jerusalem’s people, in a literal conflagration.
Jane on Jehoshua: Signs and Wonders
I can say that my eyes were opened to the political and social aspects of the time, something that I failed to contemplate in the past because I was so absorbed with Him and not so much with the people, places, or the era.
Bob on Jehoshua: Conflagration
Would that all historical novels could be presented as effectively as Garrett Glass’s Jehoshua: Conflagration. The second in the Jehoshua series, this text contains both a compelling fictional story of the origins of Christianity and a very helpful collection of informative appendices that place the fictional narrative in its historical context. The story itself is so believable because all of the characters, fictional and historic, are portrayed as ordinary individuals.
Catacombs of Priscilla, Rome. The catacombs display the earliest examples of Christian iconography, and are used for the covers of the Jehoshua series of books.
